Braised Lamb Stew

Aylmer® Accents® Original Chunky

+ Lamb + Carrots + Onions

Ingredients:

  • 8 lamb chops
  • 1 cup peeled, diced carrots
  • 2 cups diced fenne
  • 2 cups diced onion
  • 1 can Aylmer® Accents® Chunky Classic tomatoes (540 ml.)
  • 1/4 cup red wine vinegar
  • 2 tbs. brown sugar

Directions:

  1. Brown lamb chops in the bottom of an oven-proof pan.
  2. Add carrots, fennel and onion and sauté until tender.
  3. Add Aylmer® Accents® Chunky Classic tomatoes, red wine vinegar and brown sugar.
  4. Cover and place in a 400º oven for 35 minutes.
  5. Serve with scalloped potatoes and green beans or asparagus.
