Aylmer® Accents® Italian Chunky
+ Sausage + Onion + Green Pepper + Zucchini
- 450 g sweet or spicy Italian sausages
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 medium green pepper, chopped
- 2 small zucchini, sliced
- 1 can Aylmer® Accents® Italian Stewed Tomatoes (540 mL)
- 5 crusty buns
- Remove sausage casings and crumble meat then brown.
- Drain off fat. Add onion, pepper, and zucchini and sauté for 2 minutes.
- Stir in tomatoes and bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer uncovered for 15 minutes.
- Spoon into sliced buns and serve immediately.
