Aylmer® Accents® Italian Chunky

+ Sausage + Onion + Green Pepper + Zucchini

Ingredients:

  • 450 g sweet or spicy Italian sausages
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 medium green pepper, chopped
  • 2 small zucchini, sliced
  • 1 can Aylmer® Accents® Italian Stewed Tomatoes (540 mL)
  • 5 crusty buns

Directions:

  1. Remove sausage casings and crumble meat then brown.
  2. Drain off fat. Add onion, pepper, and zucchini and sauté for 2 minutes.
  3. Stir in tomatoes and bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer uncovered for 15 minutes.
  4. Spoon into sliced buns and serve immediately.
